The Four Agreements Amber Allen

When we see that it is our chords that dominate our lives, and that we do not love the dream of our lives, we must change the chords. When we are finally ready to change our agreements, there will be four very powerful agreements that will help us break the agreements that come from fear and exhaust our energy. In the Four Accords, Don Miguel reveals the source of self-sustaining agreements that deprive us of joy and cause unnecessary suffering. If we are prepared to amend these agreements, there are four falsely simple but powerful agreements that we can adopt as guiding principles. Based on the ancient wisdom of Toltec, the Four Accords offer a powerful code of conduct that can quickly transform our lives into a new experience of freedom, true happiness and love. The book is based on a series of spiritual beliefs, held by Toltec`s seniors, to help readers transform their lives into a new experience of freedom, happiness and love. [4] According to the author, everything a man does is based on agreements he has made with himself, with others, with God and with life itself.

[1] In these agreements, we can tell ourselves who they are, how to behave, what is possible and what is impossible. [1] Some agreements that create individuals may not cause problems, but there are certain arrangements that come from a place of fear and have the power to deplete emotional energy and reduce a person`s self-esteem. [1] The book states that these self-limiting agreements cause unnecessary suffering. [1] Ruiz also believes that to find personal joy, one must get rid of socially imposed and fear-based agreements that can unconsciously influence the individual`s behaviour and thinking. [5] Another fundamental premise of the book suggests that much of the suffering is created and that most people have the ability to transform themselves and the negative thoughts they have about the situations in their lives. [6] The author identifies the sources of unhappiness in life and proposes four beneficial agreements that can be concluded with oneself to improve their general state of well-being. By pacting with these four most important chords, an individual is able to dramatically influence the amount of happiness he feels in his life, regardless of external circumstances. [6] Every time you break a chord, you return all the power you used to create it. If you accept these four new agreements, they will create enough personal power for you to change the whole system of your old agreements.

Each of us is born with a certain personal strength, which we rebuild every day after our tranquillity. Unfortunately, we first spend all our personal strength to create all these agreements and then to respect those agreements. Our personal power is dissipated by all the agreements we have created, and the result is that we feel powerless. We have just enough power to survive every day, because most of them are used to maintain the chords that hold us back in the dream of the planet. How can we change the whole dream of our lives if we don`t have the power to change even the slightest agreement? The fourth agreement allows readers to have a better understanding of the progress made in achieving their goals in life. This agreement involves the integration of the first three agreements into daily life and the exploitation of its own potential. [8] It is a matter of doing the best that can be managed individually, which varies from the different situations and circumstances that the individual may encounter.
